BACKGROUND

Patrick completed a B. Juris degree at Vista University in 1994. Thereafter, studied for and obtained an LLB degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1997. He was admitted as an advocate of the High Court of South Africa on 14 April 1999. Thereafter completing his pupilage in December 1999 immediately joined the Society of Advocates, Witwatersrand Local Division as a full member.

FIELD OF EXPERTISE

His practice has grown significantly, mainly in the areas of Delict and Personal Injury Law, Labour Law, Police Practice, Commercial Law and Arbitration, Landlord and Lease, Opinion Work and Civil Trials in general.

RECENT PRACTICE HISTORY

Patrick has been involved mainly as junior counsel in the following opinion work, the impact of the National Port Authority Bill on the relationship of main stakeholders, meaning of some sections of the Property Rates Bill. He was a member of the technical committee at the Khampepe Commission of enquiry and appeared as junior counsel in one reported Constitutional Court Judgment.
